"Lipominiabdominoplasty" is suitable in patients that present little skin flabbiness and small concentration of abdominal fat, in the infra-umbilical area. It’s especially suitable in women who had children, because the gestation, besides distending the skin and the abdominal muscles, promotes an accumulation of fat of this area, which generally is not eliminated with diets, physical exercises or massages.

"Lipominiabdominoplasty" begins with an arched incision, supra pubic, of approximately 15 cm, positioned in way to be hidden by the bikini line. The navel stays unaffected in this type of medical procedure.

Shortly after the surgery, bruises and a relative insensibility in some areas are common, which are relieved with the regular use of elastic waist wrap as well as with postoperative lymphatic drainages. Home rest is recommended and regular use of elastic waist wrap as well for 30 days. After that, alternate use of the elastic waist wrap for over 30 days is recommended. It is suggested that during the postoperative, patients don't drive vehicles for up to 2 months. Walks can be initiate starting from the 2nd month and physical exercises and direct sun exposure, at the beginning of the 3rd month.

It is fundamental that the medical recommendations are followed during the after surgery. The definitive results are observed in the period from 6 to 12 months.

The stitches are usually removed on the 7th to the 15th day after the surgery, and it is prefered one type of regional anesthesia, epidural block. This surgery usually takes 3 hours, and the internment period of 24 hours is indicated.
