O Plastic Surgeon Eduardo Sucupira is a certified plastic surgeon and specialist. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery. He received his Medical degree from the Federal do Triângulo Mineiro University in 1990, situated in his home city of Uberaba, Minas Gerais.

After graduation, Eduardo Sucupira completed 8 years of residency in two specialties. He was a general surgery resident in the Hospital das Forças Armadas (Armed forces Hospital) and in Fundação Hospitalar of Brasília, Distrito Federal, from 1991 to 1994. In 1994, he started his specialty in plastic surgery in Rio de Janeiro. In 1997 he started a masters in plastic surgery at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica, under Professor Ivo Pitanguy.

Eduardo Sucupira completed his specialization in 1999 and started his private clinic. In 2002 he became a member of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica [SBCP]).


Dr Sucupira prides himself on keeping up-to-date with the most recent research and technology in plastic surgery. Additionally, he regularly participates in medical seminars, conferences and congresses both nationally and internationally. His experience produces an ability to diagnose and treat imperfections in most areas of the body.

He adopts careful clinical evaluation and a method of care where great emphasis is put on listening to the patient, identifying what they are uncomfortable with and formulating the best strategy to meet the individual needs and expectations of that particular patient. Then the procedure is pre-planned from beginning to throughout the post-operative period so the patient receives a favorable recovery. In this way, he concentrates all his knowledge, skills and experience to find the most effective way to treat each patient, he is a doctor committed to patient satisfaction.

Dr. Eduardo Sucupira is also an active member of the School of Brazilian Surgeons (Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões [CBC]) and of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). In April 2010 he was elected an international member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). In 2011, he was chosen for the International Committee of ASAPS. Also in this same period he became part of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). In 2012 he was nominated as Head of Marketing and Publicity for the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery. Additionally, he was also appointed part of the Scientific Committee of Minimally Invasive Aesthetic procedures. In 2012 he was chosen to form part of the website re-design committee for the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). In 2014, he completed a Master of Translational Surgery at the School of Medicine of the Federal University of São Paulo. Still in 2014 he acted as co-organizer of the World ISAPS Congress in Barra da Tijuca in Rio de Janeiro, receiving an honorary distinction for his performance. He acted as a Preceptor of Plastic Surgery at the 10th and 11th infirmaries of the Santa Casa da Misericordia hospital of Rio de Janeiro. From 2017 to 2019 he became PhD under the Translational Surgery at the School of Medicine of the Federal University of São Paulo.
