An innovative and effective procedure to safely remove localized fat..

Ohe accumulation of fat in different parts of the body depends on different factors. These factors can be hormonal or genetic. Even if patients undergo radical diets with strenuous exercise, there can remain some areas of localized fat which are not aesthetically pleasing.

SLIM LIPO (Selective Laser Induced Fusion) This is a very effective method of removing localized fat in the subcutaneous space and this stimulates the retraction of the skin’s surface in a single procedure.

The principle of the laser lipolysis (the breakdown of fat cells) is based on the application of energy in the form of an electromagnetic wave which is able to "melt" or destroy fat cells below the skin.

The result is the formation of liquid (cell content) that is aspirated (as in conventional liposuction).

This laser technology uses a wave of 924-975 nm to provoke a high temperature that is able to melt fat and extract it using a fine cannula.

This laser lipo technology acts to remove fat and stimulate the production of collagen that provides superficial skin retraction (preventing sagging skin).

Micro-incisions are positioned within the skin folds and inside the navel.

The size of the scars are approximately from 2 to 3 mm.

Treatment of fat in localized areas. However, it should not be seen as a single method, especially when this accumulation of fat is very significant. The combination of SLIM LIPO and traditional liposuction is necessary, in the same surgical procedure, especially when the volume of fat to be "melted" by the laser is very large as it helps with prevent the skin sagging.

SLIM LIPO is not contraindicated when there is sagging skin and it can be performed under these conditions.

The body areas that benefit most from the SLIM LIPO are areas with thinner skin, such as the neck, arms and thighs (inner side).

These are basically the same as any surgical procedure. They also include morbid obesity, a very large amount of sagging skin (that can usually be treated by other types of surgery), presence of comorbidities such as uncontrolled diabetes, heart disease, poorly controlled hypertension, a history of thromboembolism, deep vein thrombosis, anemia and circulatory problems, among others.

Laser liposuction has much less pain associated with it when compared to traditional liposuction.

In most cases, the pain in the postoperative period can be controlled with mild analgesics.

It is recommended to leave 24 hours before bathing.

After any bandages are removed, the incision sites can be washed with an antiseptic soap and dried well afterwards with a clean towel.

You will be told when to come to clinic to have the stitches removed (this is usually between 15-21 days).

Lymphatic drainage massages usually to start from the day after surgery.

They should be performed by a highly trained person because if they are badly done this could lead to less aesthetically pleasing results.

Normally 10 sessions are needed, performed 3 times a week. Sometimes more than 10 sessions are recommended depending on the individual case.
